We recently had the pleasure of completing a stunning fitted kitchen project in Redditch for a client who loved their existing layout but felt the space was ready for a fresh new look. The goal was clear: retain the functionality while upgrading the style, storage, and flow of the room to give a more open feel.
Our customer approached us knowing that the overall layout of their kitchen already worked well for them — all they needed was a refresh with new cabinetry, doors, and worktops. To help open up the space and give the kitchen a more modern feel, we suggested switching out the overhead extractor fan for a built-in hob extractor. This simple change made a big difference, giving the room a more open and streamlined appearance.
Our client opted for the Series 4 vented hob, which we supplied, offering both style and practicality in one neat solution.
To elevate the worktops, they selected Spectra Cotswold Oak square-edge surfaces, including a made-to-measure special order for an extra-deep worktop — a perfect fit for both aesthetic appeal and everyday functionality.
When it came to doors, our client chose the Helmsley style — a hugely popular option this year thanks to its classic inframe shaker look without the limitations of traditional inframe construction. It brings timeless charm with modern practicality.
The final palette included Oakgrain Mussel doors and Lancaster Oak carcasses, all built with glue and dowel construction and strong ABS edging for added durability and long-term quality.
